Hal Mann Vella has worked on a wide range of projects ranging from large commercial projects to smaller residential projects. Our strength lies in the ability to customize our product according to the customer’s specifications and requirements. Have a look at some of our past and more recent projects.

When it came to opening her beauty salon, our client  MM Beauty Clinic, knew that she wanted a space that reflects femininity and beauty. From the Infinity Calacatta Oro countertops to the warm grey Soul flooring by Keope, each selected material helps to achieve the desired look.

Saint Paul’s Apartment has been described by its designer Mark Pace as a “perfectly balanced interplay between curated design and discreet yet personal hospitality”. Located in the heart of Valletta the apartment attracts travellers with a passion for all that is bespoke, local and unique. True to this spirit, the apartment predominantly features natural stone. Bianco Carrara flooring as well as the kitchen top give a crisp and clean feel to the open plan layout.  This is contrasted with darker elements such as the black slate kitchen backsplash and the resin vanity and desk tops.

Halmann Vella clad the new Farsons Brewery Corporate Office in Carrara marble, creating a contrasting continuity with the existing masonry exterior.

Only one material could have lived up to the grandness of this residential space – natural stone. And indeed beautiful marble, granite and travertine adorn the space throughout, from the grand living area, to the kitchen, bathrooms as well as pool area.

At 98 metres tall, the state-of-the-art Portomaso Business Tower is one of the country’s most iconic buildings. Opened in 2001, it is spread over 23 floors. Halmann Vella supplied and installed a ventilated façade in NBK Terracotta cladding. In 2018, an extension to the tower is being finalised. Halmann Vella has also supplied and installed NBK Architectural Terracotta for this project. The project also includes the NBK TERRART Baguette System, ceramic pipes with square, circular or oblong cross-sections which can also be made as curved elements or as double baguettes. This flexible product is mainly used to cover window areas …

The Portomaso Laguna is a new luxury residential development facing the Portomaso Marina. Featuring a private laguna that will service only the residents, who will have direct internal access to it from their respective apartments. Halmann Vella installed ceramic cladding and raised flooring as well as the pool coping and sills.

A neutral, clean kitchen featuring an elegant Taj Majal quartzite kitchen top leads the way towards a neutral travertine Saturno bathroom. The striking Rainforest Brown marble feature wall comes almost a surprise…..albeit a pleasant one. We love the stylistic innovation of this Valletta apartment designed by AM Design.

The E-Pantar building project has been a very exciting project for us. Nothing beats shaping a building from scratch, with all the possibilities to create something so beautiful. Layout flexibility was one of our top priorities when designing this building, hence the use of raised flooring in most operational areas. Once the layout was finalised, it was time to embellish the space, choosing a mix of beautiful natural stone such as Carrara marble and travertine as well as ceramic for the interior and white and black precast terrazzo panels for the façade….to form a beautiful whole.

There’s something very elegant and opulent about marble. It is no surprise that it was selected as the main focal point at Hamett’s Macina Restaurant, a restaurant housed in a historical building, manned by 19 time-award winning restaurateur Chris Hammett. The marble was combined with rich blues for a modern, lounge style final result. During this project, Halmann Vella installed a 3 metre marble bar top in Calacatta Fusion as well as a number of dining tables in Calacatta Fusion and Grey Stone.

What can be more luxurious than all over carrara marble starting from the floors to the countertops? The latest Optika flagship store is truly a sight to behold!

Built almost half a millennium ago by the Knights of St. John, the Macina has been a local landmark for centuries. Nowadays it is home to the Cugo Gran Macina Grand Harbour Boutique Hotel. In order to compliment the rich details of the building, the designers opted for a raw palette of natural materials such as Arabescato and Carrara Marble, slate and lava stone, giving the hotel an air of understated, luxury, where the past and the present are seamlessly intertwined.

Sally Port Suites is an accommodation in Valletta which retains many original features such as wooden beams and wooden balconies. Traditional patterned tiles (some new and some restored) and beautiful natural stone add the perfect finishing touch to this wonderful building.

Featuring a soothing palette of earthy tones and natural materials such as natural stone and wood this apartment adds another luxurious dwelling to our portfolio. This project was carried out in collaboration with interior designer Laurence Mizzi. Photography by Alan Carville.

A marvellous Yves Saint Laurent marble front desk gleams against the contrasting white Carrara marble flooring and countertops in this elite and high end hair salon. The Carrara marble tiles, installed in a herringbone pattern add an artistic edge for a pristine job with strong attention to detail.

The premises of Noni Restaurant in Valletta retains various elements from the past, from cast iron apertures to a centuries old oven. Maltese, handcafted patterned tiles were the perfect fit to this environment, helping to create a warm and informal atmosphere where one can enjoy a relaxed, fine dining experience. The project also includes a lavastone staircase and lobby flooring, travertine floor in the bar area as well as Carrara marble and marble look ceramic hexagonical tiles by Ceramiche Keope.

A true classic, rich yet understated, travertine was the perfect choice of flooring for Il Teatro Trattoria, a restaurant in the heart of Valletta.
