The Edwards Lowell Concept Store located in one of Malta’s most luxurious postcodes, Portomaso Marina is back with a bang! For the renovation of this luxurious space, which merges lifestyle, art, design, books, watches and jewellery, we sourced and installed large 2m x 1m slabs of Ariostea. Ariostea flooring, ultramodern fixtures and bright natural light pouring in from the sizeable apertures play an impeccable framework for the carefully-curated pieces within. The essence of The Concept Store fuses contemporary design with timeless elegance, a playground for those who seek out impeccable taste and style, beautifully designed by DPMSeanArrigo www.elcol.com   …

Marble takes centre stage in this 19th century Palazzo’s story. Located in Valletta on St. Ursula Street and badly damaged during the war, this building is now a beautiful private home. A large screen of Patagonia marble cut and installed in book-match, acts as a backdrop to the large marble dining table by Mangiarotti, shielding the food preparation and cooking space from view. Zebrino Marble covers the wall and the inner side of the door of the bathrooms. Customised bathroom sink in Bianco Sivec is carved from solid marble. The main staircase of this prestige townhouse has been clad in …

Number 11 is the new urban boutique hotel in St. Julian’s. It’s where contemporary-style meets urban fashion, and where a vibrant club area meets a vivacious shopping and cosmopolitan circle. Finishes make for a contemporary vibe, while materials pay tribute to the Maltese heritage.

The M.U.S.E.U.M Auditorium is a fascinating project, realised in 2019. It took us approximately a year to detail, fabricate and install tonnes of travertine to furnish this masterpiece according to the Clients’ and Architects’ vision. The Travertine Classico marble was sourced from the mountainous region outside Tivoli, where the marble was selected from a particular strata with a careful consideration of its size, hue and structural integrity of the quarried mass. Approximately 10, twenty-two tonne blocks were used to furnish the space, 250sqm of material were sawn and cut into 100mm thick slabs for the production of the radial auditorium …

With coveted locations in Hong Kong, Paris and Mykonos, Beefbar launched their latest destination in Malta in the summer of 2019. Situated at the edge of St. Paul’s Bay, this project promised to take Malta’s fine dining scene to a whole new level of understated luxury by the sea. This private residence is an instant mood brightener. A lively mix of patterned tiles and vibrant colours mixed with modern furniture make the place look airy yet cosy. The most striking thing about this home is the creative use of patterned tiles. This home showcases the result of combining the old with the new.  Original pattern tiles dating back to the 1930’s have been lovingly restored to their previous glory to blend in seamlessly with new pattern tiles, made using the same original manufacturing techniques.

The Cumberland Hotel building has been gracing St John Street in Valletta since the late 16th Century. Originally built as a majestic palazzo, it was converted into a hotel, where it reached its peak during colonial times when Valletta was a hive of activity. As the city is going through a reawakening of its own, the Cumberland Hotel is back to its former glory. Featuring a décor which is contemporary and minimalist, complemented by accents of carefully-selected vintage art deco pieces the hotel is both elegant and luxurious. Classical marble was the go to material for the indoor flooring, whilst …
