With coveted locations in Hong Kong, Paris and Mykonos, Beefbar launched their latest destination in Malta in the summer of 2019. Situated at the edge of St. Paul’s Bay, this project promised to take Malta’s fine dining scene to a whole new level of understated luxury by the sea. Natural Stone Crazy Paving was the material selected for the beautiful pool area as well as the kitchen, providing a quintessential Mediterranean feel but with a modern and contemporary twist. Under the direction of ME Architects Malta, we paved global advisory firm BDO Malta‘s headquarters’ floor with statement-making Colorado Gold Marble. Every piece of marble is unique and it compliments its book-match pattern across all flooring. We love the dynamic feel it gives this space!

This private residence is an instant mood brightener. A lively mix of patterned tiles and vibrant colours mixed with modern furniture make the place look airy yet cosy. The most striking thing about this home is the creative use of patterned tiles. This home showcases the result of combining the old with the new.  Original pattern tiles dating back to the 1930’s have been lovingly restored to their previous glory to blend in seamlessly with new pattern tiles, made using the same original manufacturing techniques.

The Rosselli – AX Privilege is the first 5 star hotel in the capital city ­– Valletta. It was built in the first decades of 1600’s, where the noble Pietro Rosselli, together with his wife Alusietta Massa and son Maruzzo lived in the palace at Merchant Street Valetta. Today this beautiful building has been renovated to impeccable standards as the 5-Star Hotel Rosselli – AX Privilege. Halmann Vella was entrusted with this project to supply, fabricate and install hundreds of square meters of marble and terrazzo slabs. This beautiful kitchen features a fresh colour palette and an open flow with trendy yet timeless and durable materials. At the heart of the kitchen is an island which runs the length of the kitchen, facilitating easy flow.   Infinity Calacatta Oro was the material selected for the island countertop. Infinity slabs are made of 100% natural raw materials and minerals. They are the same essential elements contained in granite, which, when sintered at a temperature of 1230°C, create a new, compact material with unrivalled technical performance. The Cumberland Hotel building has been gracing St John Street in Valletta since the late 16th Century. Originally built as a majestic palazzo, it was converted into a hotel, where it reached its peak during colonial times when Valletta was a hive of activity. As the city is going through a reawakening of its own, the Cumberland Hotel is back to its former glory. Featuring a décor which is contemporary and minimalist, complemented by accents of carefully-selected vintage art deco pieces the hotel is both elegant and luxurious. Dekton Aura, with its never ending symmetrical pattern of veins is featured in the open plan area of this elegant home, both in the kitchen top as well as in the fireplace. This creates a unique perceptive impact of style and beauty. Grey stone marble in a polished finish was also used for the staircase, creating both contrast and continuity with the lighter hues of the open living space This project was designed by Carlo Schembri Design Team.
